Each time I go back to India I am reminded of the true authentic practice that is yoga. In the west we mostly see modified teachings… so much so that for a while I worried this essence was being completely mystified. This was until someone very close to me stated that “some form of yoga is better than none at all”. If the right intention is there, then so too is yoga. This goes for meditation as well. You would rarely see an Indian sadhu sitting in meditation to the sounds of sacred earth or Ben Leinbach. These sadhus live a life of devotion, most of us in the west live a much different life, and so now I have adapted my teachings to fit every type of yogi. This is where my music for meditation comes in. I am consistently asked for my music soundtracks and so above is my current meditation playlist that I play whilst teaching meditation (mostly in noisy gyms).
**Note that if you need music in meditation, it should only incorporate organic sounds with minimal wording (unless the wording involves ancient mantra)… enjoy x
